Our Story

One restaurant became a Maryland institution.

In 1999, Scott Rardin bought the Fort Meade McDonald's in Laurel. He still owns it today. As a second-generation Owner/Operator, he built The Rardin Companies the same way his family built its first restaurant: by taking care of people and letting the rest follow.

Twenty-six years later, that one restaurant has grown into 38 locations run by leaders who almost all started behind a counter.

Our People

We would rather promote you than replace you.

Almost every General Manager, supervisor and director in this organization started behind a counter. Through McDonald's Archways to Opportunity, team members work toward high school diplomas, college tuition assistance and English language classes while they earn.

  • Tuition assistance and high school completion
  • English language learning
  • Advisers who help map out a degree
