Family-Owned
We are rooted in Maryland and focused on long-term growth, not short-term wins.

It started with one restaurant at Fort Meade and grew into 38 McDonald's restaurants across 8 Maryland jurisdictions.
In 1999, Scott Rardin bought the Fort Meade McDonald's in Laurel. He still owns it today. As a second-generation Owner/Operator, he built The Rardin Companies the same way his family built its first restaurant: by taking care of people and letting the rest follow.
Twenty-six years later, that one restaurant has grown into 38 locations run by leaders who almost all started behind a counter.
Meet the team
1999The values that guide how we lead, operate, and serve our teams and communities across Maryland.
We are rooted in Maryland and focused on long-term growth, not short-term wins.
We treat our teams, guests, and communities with professionalism and dignity.
We do the right thing, follow through, and hold ourselves accountable.
We set high standards for quality, speed, cleanliness, and consistency.
We show up for our guests and communities through reliable operations and support.
From Emmitsburg to Hyattsville, every Rardin Companies restaurant serves a Maryland community we know by name.
Almost every General Manager, supervisor and director in this organization started behind a counter. Through McDonald's Archways to Opportunity, team members work toward high school diplomas, college tuition assistance and English language classes while they earn.
